• A mercury thermometer.

• A 600 ml graduated cylinder.
• Four 1-gallon jugs.
• A stopwatch, or a digital watch with a timer on it.

• film processing chemicals - developer and fixer;


• optional chemicals (recommended) - stop bath, hypo clearing agent and wetting agent;

• dilute the chemicals and put in tanks and then put the film in the first chemical for the time it needs and the the next chemical and then next and then once your done with the chemicals put in the watter and let sit and when done let dry and its done.

contact sheet-a contact print, usually of all frames of a developed roll of negative print film, used as a proof print.

Agitation- the act or process of agitating; state of being agitated

 Enlarger-an apparatus used for making projection prints, having a head for holding, illuminating, and projecting a film negative and a bed for holding a sheet of sensitized printing paper.

 Developer-Photography . a reducing agent or solution for developing a film or the like.

 Stop bath-an acid bath or rinse for stopping the action of a developer before fixing a negative or print.

Fixer-Also called fixer. Photography . a chemical substance, as sodium thiosulfate, used to promote fixation.

The captions help the pictures by telling what he is doing and using the verbs in present tense

The videos enhance the photos be actually telling the story's behind them and the videos are betters because you are watching the video so your are paying attention and think about it not just flipping through the photos but in a photo you can stare at it and think about and see what the photo means and analyze it to figure out whats happening in the photo.

 I liked this photo because of the rule of thirds that it is using how that guy is in the top left corner.

I picked this photo because of how much oil there is coming out and how much oil is on the machine and splattering out at him

I picked this picture because of its use of balance in the photo because in the photo there is destruction every where and it on top and bottom and left and right

I picked this photo because of how much destruction there is in the photo what had to have happen to cause this in the photo of destruction and why are people still in the building when it is unstable like that

In the video he used the tone         
of the music to set the mood
and how the pictures went 
with what he was saying how 
he had the pictures going by 
slowly so you could look at it 
and then actually think about 
what the picture is about. I 
think the most powerful picture 
was when he was in his back 
yard leaning on the rail and just
staring out at the forrest of trees
in front of him  by him self. The
best series of pictures was when 
his wife was sitting on the bed 
and he was staring out the window
and the next one was him staring
out the window and his wife is gone
off the the bed. the music enhanced 
the video by  it being slow and kind
of depressful and just really loney 
sounding and how it was just one 
beat the hole time. It helped tell 
the story becuase what ever he said 
the next photo supported what he 
just said and they were slow so 
you can actually think about the photo
and how all of the photos went with 
the mood of the slide show also.

 I like this photo because of how high he jumped and how far he stretched out to get that ball and how much effort he puts in to get it

I like this photo because of the lighting how it goes from light to less light then to dark then light again and there is only one person in the back behind the light
and how you can see all the way back with the train passing by and you cant see the person but you can see his shadow or a silo wet of him.

Great black and white photographers part 3

 I see a big wight lime stone building behind three leafless trees which means it is in the winter or in the fall and i see that the building has a bunch of designs going towards the top of it and a big opening as a door way.
I smell the the cold and the trees that have no leaves because of the fall of winter which ever season it is in this photo and the dust from the lime stone.
I hear the birds making noises flying by and the wind blowing swinging and flowing the trees back and forth and people on the street talking walking by behind me.
I taste the cold air in my mouth and my tongue goes numb taste like i am chewing winter fresh gum when i blow out it taste like frozen air going in and out of my mouth.
I feel the numbness in my hands and the trees very cold bark and the wooden bench i am standing on and the dirt sinking into my shoes because the soil is a little damp. 

 I see the lines created by the tile on the edge of the street and the tree and the curb running along the lines also and the gutters spread  out along the curb.
I smell the wetness of the rain and thats on the ground the flowers on the side of me in the garden with roses and tulips and the burger king behind me making burgers.
I hear the cars stopping and starting up and turning from street to street and the noises of the city honks and people yelling and talking as they walk and pass up each other.
I taste the stuffiness and humidness in the air and the burger king burgers in my mouth from behind me and the churches chicken to the left of me behind the garden.
I feel the the wet ground and sidewalk on the bottom of my shoe squeaking when i walk and turn slightly when i walk along the edge of the curvy sidewalk and curb.


I want to do a blog for my photographer to show that he is the best 

I think that this one tells the best story because of how the guy is playing with the girl.And how she is Guatemalan and so that means that she probably in need of help and attention and this is what she is getting . thats why this picture tells the best story.












I think that this one is the best one for emotion.
Because the kid is reading a book to the other little kids and
that makes you feel good.so that why i picked this photo.

I think that this one is the most interesting.because of
how she is standing at the feild and how the band is practing there
performanceit just makes me want to know what they are doing.
thats why i think this is the one with the most interesting stuff
