magazine cover styles

cover types
1. early magazine covers
a.always had drawings on the covers and were very simple and had a moral theme to them and sometimes had a religious theme to them
2. the poster cover
a really big picture that covers the hole cover and only a little bit of word and its all about one topic words on cover relates to cover and nothing else and the pictures need to be visually appealing to the buys
b. the picture could be boring to you hard to know what the magazine is about if the picture is not good people are not going to buy them.
3. pictures married to type
a. they complement each other the words and the pictures do this.tells you whats going on in the photo and what you can expect to see inside the magazine. use two pictures and mix together.
b.boring so less pints of entry so less buyers no exiting colors words fonts and pictures.the picture has to be appealing
4. in the forest of words
a. a lot of words on the cover. bold words and non bold words.different words and in different colors and fonts lots of points of entry or entry points lots of ads to get you to want to read and buy a magazine.
b.but it messes up the photo because there are so many words and some times there is too much stuff going on the cover.

stuff every magazine cover has- the title of the magazine some sort of art picture a date

Photographer Steve McCurry immortalized the haunted eyes of a 12-year-old refugee in a camp on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border on this magazine cover. Soviet helicopters destroyed her village and family, forcing her to make a two-week trek out of the perilous mountains of Afghanistan. The photo became a National Geographic icon after it was published on the cover in June 1985. Since then, this raw, untouched image has been used on rugs and tattoos, making it one of the most widely reproduced photos in the world.

in this photo you can tell that the refugee is not happy or even sad she is miserable and she dose not like him taking a picture of her and you can tell by see how her eyes just star at you and how upset her face looks like she dose not want to live and the way has just a blank stare at you.

post tittles

1. Familiar recognition from issue to issue (that’s the brand)

2. Emotionally irresistible (that’s the image’s appeal)

3. Arousing curiosity (that’s to pull the casual glancer in)

4. Intellectually stimulating, interesting (that’s to promise benefits)

5. Efficient, fast, easy to scan (that’s showing off the service)

1.Think about your motivation and emotions: Blankly staring at the camera rarely gets good results. Be silly, don’t be afraid to over-act. The worst that can happen is that you fill up your memory card with useless photos; but you might also find yourself with a proper gold-nugget of a self portrait.

You can create an especially revealing self-portrait by adding personal memorabilia surrounding your mirrored image, such as photos of yourself at various stages of your life, or anything that tells the viewer about your interests. Besides a mirror, a window can sometimes offer a reflective surface for you to capture your own image.

A self-portrait doesn't have to be of your face—the image of two hands holding a camera says a lot about the photographer who shot his own portrait. You can also aim the camera down your body from eye level. I once took a photo of my own feet in hiking shoes, hanging over the edge of a rocky outcropping in a scenic spot (if you try something like this, just make sure you're in a safe place that you won't fall from). A picture like this will say a lot about your activities and surroundings

i like this movie the best out of the hole year because i though it was the funniest out of all the movies.

i think that it is the biggest story because of how many people it killed and injured

i think tiger woods was the most important person because more and more incidences kept happening for about two months a every one knew what was going on

this was the most important sports news because when Lebron left almost all his fans turned on him and burned his jersey and now the heats team is a team with no offense or defense and now he is hated very much in cleave land.
