1. Explain how to get to the server drives and your folder.- click the server drives on the desk top of your computer. then go to your computer and click on the t drive then to 6th period then to your name.
2. Explain how we use blogger.com in this class- the teach post a blog on his blog account then the rest of the class goes to see it and there is an assignment in the blog and we do the assignment and post it on our blog.
3. Explain the process of creating a pinhole camera- locate the middle of the oatmeal can-Draw yourself a little box, about 1/2" by 1/2". That's where we're going to cut-take the plastic lid and squirt a bead of that Elmer's glue all around the inside of it-then cut out a piece of aluminum and spread it out so that it is big enough to cover the hole you just cut- get black construction paper and cu out pieces to put on the top of the lid and the inside of the lid then the in side of the camera- then get a needle and poke a hole in the aluminum- then tape the aluminum on the inside of the camera with the shiny part in and then get another piece of construction paper and tape over so that it covers it and its a flap that you can open and close-then close the lid and put the paper in there and your done.
4. Explain how the pinhole camera works and how the image is transferred to the paper inside- when you open the flap the light goes through and it hits the paper and makes an image and you go to the dark room and process it because it is a negative and it is backwards and when you process it, it becomes a black and whit photo and is the right way.

5.Rule of thirds- the rule of thirds is where you place a object in a photo, imagine there are two vertical lines separating the picture evenly two of the same lines going horizontally and where those lines meet is a pint on the rule of thirds and that is where your want the objects in the picture to be.
6.Balancing Elements- when you have objects on both sides of your film the balance it out so that every thing about the picture is not just on one side of it.
 7. Leading Lines-in your picture you have lines any where in the picture that lead to you subject in any kind of way.
8. Symmetry and Patterns (repetition)-when there is symmetry in you photo or a mirror image or there is patterns that keep on occurring in the picture.
9. Viewpoint-when you change the view of the subject by moving to a different position and now you can see the subject from a different angel.
10. Background/simplicity- when you background of your picture is very simple and there is nothing back there so that it dose not distract the people from the subject of the image.
11. Create depth-when in your photo you have a fore ground and the something after that there a back round and all three sections are all clear and focused
12. Framing- when in you photo your subject is some where in the middle and there are allot of other objects surrounding it and creating kind of a frame to the main subject.
13. Cropping- when you zoom in really close on one subject of the picture and make it in focus and then rest of the photo is out of focus
14. Mergers and avoiding them- mergers are any thing that are not supposed to be there like a tree coming out of some ones head or of its in the way of the photo or the subject.
15. Explain how action and emotion impact a photograph- the action and emotion in the ohoto tells a story about the photo and sets the tone of the photo also.
16. Explain how a photo can "tell a story"-through the tone of the photo and the emotion and body language of the people in the photo or the surrounding objects language.
17. Explain what the word "multimedia" means and share some examples of how we have seen them in class (on the blog)-the combined use of several media, as sound and full-motion video in computer applications.
–adjective we have seen this through people using thees different programs on the computer such as blogger. 18. Know how to correctly write a caption. I HIGHLY suggest you rewrite the rules on your blog and find at least 2 photos on the internet, post them on your blog and write correct captions for them. This will be a MAJOR portion of the exam as well.-  First sentence includes major information about the photo (who, what, where, when, why, how) You may make up the information for this assignment.. First sentence should be written in present tense as if the action of the photo is still happening.
Second sentence should be past tense, and should include background information.
Information in caption should not be obvious by looking at the photo.
If there are three or fewer recognizable people in the photo, you must give all of their names (you can make them up for this assignment).Use strong action verbs whenever possible.-

while running through the Forrest on a hot summer day
sash a Terrence the suddenly stopped to watch another horse wondering what he was doing
while celebration the graduation of high school
john and tasha are now both ready for college.

19. Explain how "strong action" verbs enhance a caption- they give it more of a feeling to it and more action comes with it.
20. Explain how ethics come into play in regards to photojournalism and compare and contrast this with fashion photography. You really need to get the idea that changing photos to fit a need or to make something look like something else is VERY unacceptable in photojournalism.-in photo journalism you take good photos and so in fashion they take photos and they are not good looking and then no one is going to buy the sruf because of it so they go ahead and edit the photos to get a better picture.
21. Explain the difference between a portrait and a self portrait.- a portrait is a picture of some one else in a an action or pose but self portrait is your own self in the photo.
22. Explain what characteristics of a good portrait are.-that there is a good use of the rules and the person in the photo is showing some emotion or uniqueness and telling a story.
23. Explain what the major differences are between newspaper and yearbook.-yearbook you make it more about the school for fun and for clubs of the school and pictures where in the newspaper its about information some photos and fun but just the new that people want to know.

11. Stop bath- the chemical used to stop the developing of a photo when processing it
12. Fixer-a chemical used to fix the photo and develop the photo when processing it
13. Safe light-a light that dose not effect the photo graphic paper and expose it to light.
14. Burning-Dodging and burning are terms used in photography for a technique used during the printing process to manipulate the exposure of a selected area(s) on a photographic print, deviating from the rest of the image's exposure. ...
15. Dodging.-Dodging and burning are terms used in photography for a technique used during the printing process to manipulate the exposure of a selected area(s) on a photographic print, deviating from the rest of the image's exposure. ...

I chose this on because the reason for this amusement park being out of business or abandoned is because of the hurricane Katrina and how much the storm damaged
and it would have just cost to much to fix it and they would lose money on it because no one would go because they would not have any money because they had to start a new living and all new things and a new house and car and all that stuff.

1.KENT COUNTY JAIL
2.Alcatraz 3.Thunderbird Lodge, Nevada
4.Edinburgh Castle – Edinburgh, Scotland
5.Castle Bran – Dracula’s Castle

 Alcatraz
It would be fun to go to Alcatraz and document it because there are a lot of ghost there and there were so many criminals there back when it was open and the is so much paranormal activity there that you cant help but catch some thing there if you would ever get the guts to go i would have to  find the guts  and find the money and the people to go with and the camera and then i would have to ask permission to go and rent to go and stay the night to see if  i could find and thing to document what ever i see there.

3.) Are all the rules followed? (Is the photo candid? Does the subject fill the frame? Does the photo contain action? Does it follow composition rules? Does it show "academics"?)-

yes it has action because the teacher is on the computer and it has balance and simplicity and yes there is academics and yes it dose fill the frame.

The picture has coach Liburge and Daniel they are in coach Liburge's class during class while they both work.

                                        Caption
while working in class on his computer sitting next to his student. coach Liburge remember that he had to finish up some work for his other class today.

I think what makes a good portrait by the uniqueness of the picture and the the position of the picture and the how the person takes the picture with a smile or a frown or just plane face and you have have to like make you self look your best. because the one with the girl and the dress is good because she has that flaunt to make a good picture and the girl with blue paint is good because of the uniqueness of it and how it is just so crazy and weird it just looks very cool.

1. List the changes that were made to the model's face in the computer. (Look carefully)
her eyes were enlarged and so were her lips
2. Is it ethically acceptable to change a person's appearance like this in a photo? Why or why not?
yes if they want them too or if they are getting paid so they can use there face why not, your getting paid
3. Are there circumstances in which it would be more ethically wrong to do this type of manipulation?
yes to some who someone thinks is not pretty but if you let them do it with permission then there nothing wrong
4. What types of changes are OK, and what aren't?
the hair and the lips but not covering the girl in makeup and changing have their face, then just get a different girl
5. Explain what you think the differences are between fashion photography and photojournalism.
in fashion every thing has to be perfect and they edit to make it better and in photojournalism they don't edit they take pride in every picture that they take
6. What relationship does each type of photography have to reality, and how does this affect the ethical practice of each?
it make people think that hey should look like this and make them strive to achieve that but they should feel good in there own skin and that eventually to people have low self esteem and even death from anorexia or some other thing connected to how you are supposed to look.

A.its about how people sue photo shop or other similar programs to manipulate their pictures and to make them better but if they get caught it looks bad on them and the company they work for because it makes it seem like they cant take photos so they use photo shop and some try to make it funny to have a funny photo but its still cheating an its not right to say its an original photo.
B. think  that  was  wrong because your are not being fair and its not  ethical because you are changing what you had because it was not good enough so you cheat and make it better and you cheat others who actually work hard to get good photos.

I think that this is the most unethical becuse its not like they are bad people there not doing any thing wrong their happier and its not that good of a prank so try to mess with their picture
this one i think is the least unethical because i cant even see a difference in the pictures at first so you have to look at it real hard and analyze both pictures just to figure it out then its not even good one

I think that its sad to see that the police cant even keep this group of people under control and that they're scared to show there faces they have to where "mask" and during the night nobody can go out because every one is scared of the cartel that is sad the the police department cant control them and that they scare the hole town the hole town is in fear because the cartel are the ones in control just like they "own the night".

my favorite photo was when there was a body in a trunk in the desert in the middle of nowhere and it had balance and simplicity this was my favorite photo because think of who would do that and just leave it put in the open did not even care if some one found it or not just left it there with no regards to getting caught no fear of the police catching him because he did not try to hid it at all.
